Each year the Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO presents select union members’ children and/or grandchildren with scholarships from different organizations that support local unions. This year, one of our own SHARE members at UMass Chan Medical School, Irene Mariano, applied for the scholarship for her son Noah, who will be attending WPI this fall. Noah won a $1000.00 scholarship which was presented to him by the AFL-CIO leadership, along with many Massachusetts politicians. On behalf of the entire SHARE Union, congratulations to Noah and Irene on receiving this award, and best wishes to Noah with his studies at WPI!
